Originally beginning her career in Austin, TX as a beauty make-up artist she attended Avenue Five Institute to become a licensed cosmetologist. Shortly after completing an internship with Jose Luis Salon, she began assisting at an FX make-up studio along with working with other industry make-up artists that led to work in Film, TV, Commercials, Music Videos, and Print. She specializes in beauty and character make-up, special effects make-up including prosthetic applications, trauma/injury, facial hair laying, tattoo application, airbrush, fantasy and body painting.

With a wide range of experience, she is a multifaceted artist which has allowed her to work on an array of projects large and small as a third make-up artist, key make-up artist and department head of make-up. Always bringing love, kindness and professionalism, she is a passionate about every project she is apart of.

Sylvia Ramos is currently an IATSE Local 798 Make-up Artist and Licensed Hairstylist based in Atlanta, GA.
